Please join us at the next ISSA Chapter meeting.  The topic of discussion will be Managed File Transfer - Insights & Best Practices

File transfer has evolved from a data center utility to a core B2B business process integration requirement.  Historically, a broad range of solutions have evolved that range from inexpensive FTP products to managed file transfer solutions utilizing open standards such as FTP, HTTP, SSL/TLS, SSH, PGP, S/MIME, EDIINT AS2 and AS3.  The recent emergence of the managed file transfer (MFT) product category is a reflection of the critical dependence many organizations have on these enterprise-grade capabilities in their internal operations and B2B processes. This presentation covers file transfer background and MFT best practices.

The presenter and sponsor of Thursday’s meeting will be Tumbleweed.  Rick Cleve of Tumbleweed will be presenting.  Rick Cleve has over 15 years of experience in enterprise technology with a primary focus on enterprise data movement solutions.  Prior to Tumbleweed, Rick held positions at Sterling Commerce, iSoft,  Attachmate and several ebusiness start-ups.  His experience includes emulation products, email security, and managed file transfer solutions. Rick currently is a Senior Sales Engineer for Tumbleweed in the Central Region and Canada.  He holds a Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Iowa and an MBA in Information Systems from the University of Texas in Arlington.
